A photograph of a painting catalogued by Ruland (1876) as being then in the collection of J. Neeld, Esq., in London. The composition is derived from the allegorical personification of Charity from the vertical border at the right of the tapestry of 'The Death of Ananias', one of the ten Sistine Chapel tapestries designed by Raphael under commission of Pope Leo X.
