Decorative pilaster incorporating the 'Border with the Theological Virtues'

The central vertical panel is derived from the border woven along the side edge of 'The Death of Ananias', one of the Sistine Chapel tapestries designed by Raphael upon commission of Pope Leo X now in the Vatican Museums; it is generally known as the 'Border of the Three Theological Virtues'.
