Christ's charge to Peter

A print loosely derived from Raphael's tapestry cartoon of 'Christ's Charge to Peter' (see RCIN 852945). Lettered with artists' names. With blind stamp of the Chalcographie du Louvre (cropped).

The etching differs noticeably from both the tapestry cartoon and all surviving studies for it (or copies after such) especially with regards to the figure of Christ, here shown holding the keys and resting the left hand against His breast.
