    Portrait of Giuliano de' Medici

    A photograph of the 'Portrait of Giuliano de' Medici', a painting currently in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (inv. no.49.7.12). The authorship of the painting is matter of debate, but it is now generally regarded as a work by Raphael and his workshop dated about 1515. Ruland (1876) catalogued the photographed painting as being then in the collection of Grand Duchess Maria of Russia (1819-1876), who installed herself in Florence starting from 1862.
