An etching representing Giovanni Ceccarini's design for a statue depicting Raphael. This print is lettered with an explanation of the subject. Signed by the printmaker. Annotated on the verso.

According to nineteenth century newspapers and to a recent publication by Patrizia Masini (see Bibliographic References) the statue was erected in Rome in the 1830s and bought in 1833 by Lord Shrewsbury. The location of this statue appears is now unknown, but a terracotta model of it is in the Museum of Palazzo Venezia, Rome.
