A print reproducing a composition often attributed to Raphael and related to the so-called Madonna mit dem Becken (Madonna del Catino), a painting by Giulio Romano (c.1525) currently housed in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Dresden (inv. no. 103). First state. The printmaker has been associated with the School of Fontainebleau.

The print shows the full-length kneeling Virgin, bathing the Christ Child who turns towards the Infant Baptist who pours water over Him from a jug, with St Anne holding a cloth next to a fire at right; in an interior.
