Photograph of a cavalry church parade during the Crimean War. The photograph is taken from a high vantage point in a valley and shows tents camped on the hillside and at the base of the hill. In the foreground to the right there are several horses. The parade is taking place in the flattest part of the valley, with the soldiers arranged in a square formation. Troops engaged in the Siege of Sevastopol camped in the surrounding countryside.
