Photograph of Brigadier-General Garrett and officers of his staff gathered by his hut. Brigadier-General Garrett stands facing slightly right with a horse on either side of him. There is an officer standing to the left of him and three more to the right. All are wearing military uniform and several carry swords. Another man can just be seen sitting in the hut.
Brigadier-General Garrett was the Commanding Officer of the 46th Regiment during the Crimean War and later commanded the British troops in China and Hong Kong.
