Photograph of Tong Castle, background, with crenellations running along the top of the facade and domes at various intervals along the roof. In front of the house is an area where coaches are parked with people attending to the horses. A small group of men and women having alighted or about to board a boat, gather at the side of a river running horizontally through the image. After steady decay of the house due to a fire in 1911, the house was demolished in 1954.
