Photograph of a possible moment during the State Visit of Queen Victoria to Paris, France, in August 1855. Emperor Napoleon III leads a procession through the Tuileries palace, on the morning of the service at which the Te Deum was sung. The Arc de Triomphe is visible on the horizon. The Tuileries was a royal palace at the western end of the Louvre palace. It was destroyed by fire in 1871 during the Paris Commune and the ruins were removed finally in 1882.
