Photograph of the Doge's Palace in the Piazza San Marco, Venice. The bridge, Ponte della Paglia, can be seen in the foreground, on the right. Behind the bridge is the Doge's Palace and Piazza San Marco. In the square are two columns, one supporting Saint Theodore and the second supporting the winged lion of St Mark. Behind the columns stands the Biblioteca Marciana, built in the 16th century.
