c. 1861

Albumen print | 17.2 x 25.1 cm (image) (image) | RCIN 2932794

Photograph of a view of the sea front at Cannes. There are a series of fishing boats moored on the shoreline. A number of villas are located behind the tree lined boulevard, to the left of the photograph. Drying racks made of intertwined canes are positioned on the beach. Various articles of clothing and other objects are being dried on the racks.

This is probably a photograph of the Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes.
