Photograph of the painting 'Madonna', c.1508, by Raphael. The painting depicts a three-quarter length portrait of the Virgin seated, facing three-quarters to the left. She holds the Christ child on her lap, who faces the viewer. His left arm out-stretched towards the Virgin and he holds onto his mother's shirt. The painting is framed in a decorated gilt frame. 

The 'Madonna' painting features in Johan Joseph Zoffany's (1733-1810) painting 'The Tribuna of the Uffizi, 1772-7 (RCIN 406983).
