Photograph of the carved stone gateway to the Hospital of the Santa Cruz. In a semi-circular recess above the entrance is carved a representation of Cardinal Mendoza accompanied by the Saints Peter, Paul and Helen, kneeling to the right of a cross. Two figures stand facing the viewer on either side of the entrance. 1893 carbon copy print adhered over the top of the original print.
