Bridge over the Falls of the Garbhalt, Balloch Buie
1857Albumen print | 19.4 x 24.5 cm (image) | RCIN 2906240
Photograph of a single arched bridge spanning a river which falls over rocks, located in the foreground. A single figure stands on the bridge.
This image is typical of the Imperial size of print that Wilson adopted in September 1857, perhaps in response to Fenton's work, taken a year earlier when larger, more visually arresting images of the Scottish landscape were being produced.
