Photograph of an elaborately carved ivory tankard engraved with female and male figures bearing grapes and supporting an old man. Another male figure blows a horn at Pan. On the lid stands a single putto on an engraved metal lid. Metal scrolled handle. An invoice dated 14 July 1854 for 11 photographs totalling £1 13s was submitted to Dr Ernst Becker and payment was received by Bedford on 12 October 1854 (Royal Archives PPTO/PP/QV/PP2/4840). Signed in the negative by the photographer, 'F. Bedford photo'.
