Photograph of a cup by Morel with the central support represented by two female figures. At the handle, a third female figure kneels holding the form that is the handle. Jean-Valentin Morel (1794-1860) was an important Parisian goldsmith who transferred his business to London in 1849 An invoice dated 14 July 1854 for 11 photographs totalling £1 13s was submitted to Dr Ernst Becker and payment was received by Bedford on 12 October 1854 (Royal Archives PPTO/PP/QV/PP2/4840).
