Photograph of a view across the lakes of Killarney. There is a rocky outcrop in the foreground. A man lies on the rocks. He wears a dark colour suit and light colour hat. A lake extends from the middle ground into a larger lake in the background. A series of mountains are visible in the distant background.

A carbon copy is adhered on top of the original albumen print. Carbon prints are more stable compared to albumen prints, the latter prone to fading. Carbon copies were therefore created for posterity.
