The miraculous draught of fishes
1858Albumen print? | 17.4 x 30 cm (image) | RCIN 2864305
A photograph of a drawing now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no.182). The drawing corresponds with one of the small scenes painted in monochrome in the window-embrasures of the Stanza dell'Incendio in the Vatican. It has been suggested that the drawing may be either Gianfrancesco Penni's modello for the fresco or a copy after it. For further discussion, see Bibliographic References.
A copy of this photograph (RCIN 852865) can be found in the Prince Consort's Raphael Collection, portfolio 29 (970588)
