Albumen print? | 16.4 x 28.5 cm (image) | RCIN 2864302

A photograph of a red chalk drawing by Raphael (c.1510) depicting studies for 'The Massacre of the Innocents' now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no.253r). This drawing features a study for Astronomy on the verso. See RCIN 852653 for a photograph of the verso.

This drawing is a study related to an engraving by Marcantonio Raimondi (see RCIN 850413 for the print).

See also RCINs 850419, 850421, 850422 and 850425 in the Prince Consort's Raphael Collection for photographs of the other drawings.
