Photograph of a head-and-shoulders miniature portrait of Prince Charles Edward Stuart (1720-88) as a child. The young boy is facing to the right, turning his head to look at the viewer. He wears a collar-less coat and a powdered wig with a curling queue.

At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to Sir Robert Strange (1721-92) and was in the collection of Alexander Trotter, Esq., London.
