Photograph of a painting by Paul Delaroche, completed in 1846 and now in the collection of the Louvre, Paris (Inv. no. RF 2489). This three-quarter length portrait of Narcisse-Achille de Salvandy (1795-1856) depicts the French politician standing, facing slightly to the left and looking at the viewer. He wears his state cloak trimmed with ermine and a neck badge. He rests his right hand on the base of a plinth, whilst holding a hat in his left hand.
