Photograph of a half-length portrait of Lord Lewis Gordon, 2nd Duke of Gordon (1724-54) as a boy in an oval. The sitter is facing three-quarters to the right and gazing at the viewer. He wears an unbuttoned, collar-less coat that reveals an embroidered vest and cravat.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to John Alexander (1686–c.1766) and was in the collection of The Duke of Richmond, Gordon Castle, Bannffshire. It is believed that the work is now in the collection of the National Galleries of Scotland (PG 3325).
