Photograph of a drawing by Paul Delaroche, created around 1842. The work depicts John the Fearless, Duke of Burgundy (1371-1419), admitting to the Royal Council his order to murder the King's brother, Louis I Duke of Orléans (1372-1407). The scene takes place inside a gothic-style throne room with a council table in its centre.
