Photograph of a painting by Paul Delaroche, created in 1842 and originally in the collectin of M. Thomas Baring. The painting depicts a three-quarter length portrait of the Virgin standing below a vine branch. She holds the Christ Child in her ams and presses her lips against his cheek. Joseph can be seen in the background, to the right.
