Photograph of a head-and-shoulders portrait of Charlotte Stuart, Duchess of Albany (1753-89) in profile, to the right. She wears a loose, translucent shawl around her shoulders and a turban of similar material. Her hair is dressed in thick ringlets.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to Gavin Hamilton (1723-1798) and was in the collection of The Earl of Seafield, Castle Grant, Inverness-shire.
