A photograph of a preparatory drawing by Raphael in the Albertina, Vienna (inv.no.178) for the fresco 'David kills Goliath' painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the vault of the eleventh bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican.

Joannides (1983) considers this drawing the only surviving preparatory sketch by Raphael for the narrative frescoes in the loggia. 

A copy of this photograph (RCIN 853594) can be found in the Prince Consort's Raphael Collection, portfolio 37 (970597)
