Photograph of a version of 'the painting 'The Vision, Dante and Beatrice' by Ary Scheffer (1795–1858). The painting depicts Beatrice full length, standing on a cloud, gazing upwards. Her hands hang by her side. Beatrice wears a floor length robe, a crown of laurels and a veil. Behind her, to the left, stands Dante. He places his left hand on his chest and raise his right hand. There is an inscription at the top of the painting.
