Console table and vases
c.1853-5Albumen print | 17.9 x 19.2 cm (image) | RCIN 2369569
Photograph of a console table (RCIN 21244) featuring a mirrored back. The four supports, connecting the table top to the lower shelf, show satyrs holding columns above their heads, supporting the weight with both hands. On top of the table sit two Asian vases, or caddies, with lids. The mirrored back of the table reflects a forested area, indicating the photograph was taken outside.
