After a work copying Raphael (Urbino 1483-Rome 1520)
A photograph of a drawing now in the Royal Library at Windsor Castle (RCIN 912751). The drawing is an offset from a preparatory study by Raphael for the tapestry cartoon of 'Christ's Charge to Peter'. Three fragments of the original study survive, one with the figure of Christ (Musée du Louvre, Paris, inv. no.3854; see RCIN 853044), and two others with the heads of the Disciples (National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, Woodner Collection, inv. no.1993.51.2).
