Photograph of a collection of objects of Algerian origin, and date from c.1800s.
The grouping seems to be based on a gift sent to George IV when Prince Regent by the Dey of Algiers and presented by the Algerian Ambassador.
A selection of the objects remain in the Royal Collection. At the centre of the group is a powder horn (RCIN 70018). On the right is a powder flask (RCIN 62935). On the left is a powder measure and chain (RCIN 62921).
