A photograph of a facsimile of a drawing generally attributed to Giulio Romano now in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Lille (inv. no.Pl. 481). Lettered with artists' names (and traditional attribution to Raphael). Numbered at upper right: PL. XVII. Published in 'Choix de dessins de Raphael qui font partie de la collection Wicar à Lille', Paris 1858.

The drawing is a preparatory study for the figure of the Emperor Lothair, painted on the dado beneath the fresco of 'The Victory at Ostia' in the Stanza dell'Incendio in the Vatican. The dado decoration is attributed to Giulio Romano by Vasari.
