An etching reproducing the self-portrait of Raphael depicted in the fresco 'The School of Athens', painted by Raphael in c.1509-10 in the Stanza della Segnatura, Vatican. Lettered with the title and a text. Signed by the printmaker. Probably plate 27 (numbered at the upper right corner: "XXVII") of  "Tetes choisies de personagges illustres..." published by Fidanza in Rome in 1785. 

Ruland (1876) states that this print was "from a tracing". Paolo Fidanza became famous for publishing six volumes of prints of heads after Raphael between 1757 and 1763.
