Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Prince Arthur, later Duke of Connaught (1850-1942) and Princess Victoria, later Empress Friedrich (1840-1901). The prince is wearing a toga and holding a goblet in one hand as he is embraced by  his sister who is lying on a leopard skin covered support. She faces the viewer and wearis a floral headdress. Both children dressed as 'Summer' for the Tableau of the Seasons, performed at Windsor Castle.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative exists in the Collection (e.g. 2900026 and 2906064).
