Glass plate negative of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1841-1910) with his entouage in Rome, where the prince studied between January and June 1859. The group includes Major General Robert Bruce, Reverend CF Tarver, Dr T Chambers and Captain GH Grey.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2922838.
