Glass plate negative featuring two almost identical views of the Prince Consort's Library at Buckingham Palace. The room is divided into two by an arch. The walls are lined with glazed bookcases, and there is a globe, library steps and bookcase-library table in the centre. Under the arch is a marble bust, possibly of Queen Victoria.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2103820.
