Glass plate negative showing the front view of Balmoral Castle with the driveway curving towards the front entrance of the new Castle. The clock tower, partially visible behind the weather vane tower on the left, is yet to be completed. Hills and trees in the background. 

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2140233.
