Glass plate negative of a photograph depicting a full length group portrait of, from left to right, Prince Alfred (1844-1900), the Duchess of Kent (1786-1861) and Princess Alice (1843-78). The Duchess is seated at the centre of the group and holds hand with Princess Alice. Her grandchildren stand either side of her. Photograph taken in Buckingham Palace.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2513465.
