Jul 1856Wet collodion negative | RCIN 2083051
Glass plate negative of Snowdrop, a white cat who belonged to Prince Leopold (1853-84). The cat is seated on a fringed cushion. He wears a collar around his neck.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this sitting exists in the Royal Collection, see RCIN 2906222.
