Glass plate negative of a full length double portrait of Princess Helena and Princess Louise. Princess Louise stands facing three-quarters to the left, turing her head slightly to look at the camera. She holds a flower in one hand. Princess Helena is seated, facing three-quarters to the right. She looks ahead, away from the camera and holds a book open on her lap with both hands. The sisters are dressed in a similar fashion.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900362.
