Glass plate negative of a full length double portrait of Princess Louise and Princess Helena. Princess Louise, on the left, is seated beside a plinth. She gazes down at a book she holds open with both hands and supports on top of the plinth. Princess Helena stands behind her and gazes down at the book. The sisters are dressed in a similar fashion.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. At least two prints from this negative exist in the Collection, RCINs 2900346 and 2915747.
