1861RCIN 2082541
Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Princess Louise, later Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939), standing, facing three-quarters to the left. She looks ahead, away from the camera. She holds a basket of flowers in front of her with both hands and carries a striped shawl over one hand. She poses in front of a painted backdrop depicting a landscape scene.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900473.
