Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Princess Beatrice standing, facing right, her face captured in profile. The princess leans against a decorative plinth attached to a balustrade. There is a small basket on top of the plinth. She wears a floral headdress and a light coloured dress with a full skirt.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. At least one print from this negative exists in the Collection (RCIN 2900337) as well as a hand-colour version (RCIN 2914296).
