Glass plate negative of a full-length group portrait of three royal children dressed in costumes for a tableau of 'The Allies' performed at Windsor. From right to left, Prince Arthur as a Private of the Grenadier Guards, Princess Louise as a Vivandière and Princess Helena as Chasser de Vincennes. There is a musket at Prince Helena's feet.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant from the same sitting is represented by RCIN 2900065.
