Glass plate negative of the head of a stag laid on a light coloured fabric. Branches are arranged around the stag's head. The stag was shot by Prince Albert (1819-61) in Windsor Great Park.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2800719.
