Elk in Windsor Park
3 - 3 Nov 1854RCIN 2082407
Glass plate negative of an elk standing next to a trough in Windsor Great Park. A man stands on the left, facing the elk. He wears a tall 'stove-pipe' style hat and a dark colour suit.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative (RCIN 2800708) can be found in an album of photographs collected and arranged by Prince Albert.
