Construction of the Mausoleum at Frogmore
1864RCIN 2084214
Glass plate negative of the entrance to the Royal Mausoleum under constuction. There is a path and stairs in the foreground. The upper part of the building is complete. Timber scaffolding surrounds the lower part of the building. A couple of men can be seen standing on the scaffolding.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant, taken later on, is represented by RCIN 2101505.
