Construction of the Mausoleum at Frogmore
15 - 15 Dec 1863RCIN 2084213
Glass plate negative of the entrance to the Royal Mausoleum, viewed from a nearby bridge. At the time of the photograph the mausoleum was under construction. Timber scaffolding surrounds the lower level of the building.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant, taken later on, is represented by RCIN 2101514.
