Glass plate negative of the south front of the newly built Balmoral Castle in 1856 with the clock yet to be added to the tower. 

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exist in the Collection, RCIN 
2104682.
