Balmoral Castle from the northwest
1858Wet collodion negative | RCIN 2082385
Glass plate negative of a view of the New Balmoral Castle, taken from the West side. In front of the castle are landscaped grounds and steps leading up to the castle. There are hills in the background, on the far right side of the frame.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. This negative is almost identical to RCIN 2082972, a print from which exists in the Collection, RCIN 2160059.
